Dr. Stephen Amoah Warns: Don’t Steal Our Concept as Ken’s Campaign Launches ‘National Worship and Praises’

Dr. Stephen Amoah Warns: Don’t Steal Our Concept as Ken’s Campaign Launches ‘National Worship and Praises’

Dr. Stephen Amoah, Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency, has revealed plans for a significant campaign event titled “Ken’s National Worship and Praises,” set to take place in December 2025 in support of Kennedy Agyapong’s bid to become the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate.

In an interview with Accra-based Asaasepa FM monitored by Kumasimail, Dr. Amoah, a staunch supporter of Kennedy Agyapong, issued a stern warning to other presidential hopefuls against appropriating their campaign concept.

He emphasized the uniqueness of the event, which has garnered the backing of prominent pastors and gospel musicians who are eager to participate.

Dr. Amoah disclosed “In December, I shouldn’t have said it, but I am saying it now: nobody should steal our concept. We are organizing Ken’s National Worship and Praises. Many prominent pastors who are seriously praying for and advising him, as well as big gospel singers, all want to come to that program.”

Describing the unfolding developments as a “movement,” Dr. Amoah cited Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Bosiako (Chairman Wontumi) and his famous campaign phrase, “It is a Movement,” as an endorsement, declaring that the event is destined to usher in a transformative period for Ghana.

“What is happening now this is what Wontumi said it’s a ‘movement.’ I think this is it; he was a prophet. This is what we call a movement.”

He expressed confidence that the campaign would bring unprecedented renewal to the NPP, energize Ghanaian youth, women, and children, and positively influence the country’s future.

Dr. Amoah declared “God is going to do something new, something new in the lives of Ghanaians, something new within the NPP’s fraternity, something new for Ghanaian youth, for Ghanaian women, for Ghanaian children, and for the future of this country. Something unprecedented is going to happen. There is a huge amount of divinity in this movement.

“Those who have eyes, those who speak the truth, those who understand the word of the Lord know there is something new about to happen,” he added.

Dr. Amoah spoke of a divine backing to this movement, urging caution and respect for God’s plans, which he emphasized cannot be thwarted without consequences.

“And I am telling people to be careful with God; God doesn’t joke. When God says, ‘I will use the foolishness of the world to shame the wise,’ it does not mean that you are simply foolish. No, that’s not the meaning. ‘Foolishness of the world’ refers to the world’s definition of you. So, if God plans something, you cannot destroy it. You may try to forcefully destroy what God has planned, but the consequences will never be good,”he emphasized.

He framed the campaign support as more than a financial or confrontational issue, urging all NPP members and supporters to cast their votes for Kennedy Agyapong.

He urged “In the times we are in, I plead with the NPP: it’s not about money, fighting, or threats. Everyone should go and vote for Kennedy Agyapong.”

Highlighting the notable financial and economic experts within the NPP who endorse Agyapong including Dr. Assibey Yeboah, Abena Osei Asare, Kwaku Kwarteng, Dr. Ampaabeng, and himself (Dr. Amoah) conveyed a sense of a well-organized and credible backing by key figures with experience in finance and governance.

Dr. Amoah remarked “Do you think it’s just a coincidence that about 90% of the financial and economic experts in the NPP today are supporting Kennedy Agyapong?

“Aren’t you surprised? All of us have either worked at the Finance Ministry, served on the Finance Committee in Parliament, or both. Aren’t you surprised that God is doing something?,” he asked rhetorically.
