Commercial transport operators have commended President John Dramani Mahama and the Ministry of Roads and Highways for their efforts in improving the country’s road infrastructure, particularly the ongoing works on the Ofankor-Nsawam road.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the operators praised the President, Roads Minister Kwame Agbodza, and Deputy Minister Alhassan Suhuyini for what they described as an “unwavering commitment” to making roads motorable and accessible for all users.
The group highlighted the engagement of a contractor on the Ofankor-Nsawam stretch, noting that progress on the project has already eased transportation challenges. “The progress made so far has significantly improved the condition of the road, making it easier for us to ply our trade,” the statement read.
The operators expressed gratitude with a resounding “Ayekooo” to the government officials and encouraged them to sustain their focus on road development. They emphasized that improved roads would not only benefit transport operators but also enhance safety and efficiency for the general public.
“We urge the government to continue its efforts in maintaining and expanding our road network. We are confident that with their leadership, our roads will continue to improve, and our transportation services will become more efficient,” the statement added.
