Former Energy Minister Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko has officially declared his intention to run for the position of National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a statement titled “A CALL TO DUTY – NPP NATIONAL CHAIRMANSHIP,” released today and copied Kumasimail, Mr. Agyarko detailed the extensive consultations he undertook before arriving at his decision.
He explained that careful discussions with his family and close associates, whose lives would be significantly impacted by his choice, were a key part of his decision-making process.
He also emphasized listening to the widespread sentiments of party members and supporters beyond the party’s ranks.
Concluding his statement, Boakye Agyarko said, “Having factored in all the considerations, I see it as my bounden duty to respond to this call to duty.”
He confirmed his intention to contest for the National Chairman role once nominations open.
“hereby announce that I will contest for the position of NATIONAL CHAIRMAN of my party upon the opening of nominations,” Mr. Agyarko emphasized.
