The government has taken delivery of 100 newly procured 29-seater buses as part of efforts to address recent road transport challenges across the country.
The Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, announced that the buses are part of a total fleet of 300 being acquired to improve public transportation and reduce commuter difficulties.

According to the minister, the remaining buses will be delivered in phases, with an additional 100 expected to arrive in August, while the final batch of 100 is scheduled for delivery in November.
The phased procurement is aimed at strengthening the country’s transport system and ensuring more reliable and accessible services for the public.

Government officials say the initiative forms part of broader measures to enhance mobility, reduce congestion, and improve the overall efficiency of road transport services nationwide.
