Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has held a consultative meeting with members of various professional bodies in Kumasi as part of his campaign for the National Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The meeting, which took place on Thursday at his campaign office, brought together professionals from diverse fields to discuss his vision for the party’s future.
Chairman Wontumi outlined plans aimed at strengthening internal democracy, improving organizational efficiency, and increasing the participation of youth and women within the party.
He also emphasized the need to position the NPP as the preferred political choice for Ghanaians through what he described as innovative policy direction and disciplined leadership.
According to him, effective leadership requires continuous engagement with stakeholders. He noted that listening to varied perspectives and translating them into actionable policies would be central to his approach if elected.
Participants at the meeting commended the initiative, describing it as forward-looking and inclusive. They expressed support for his vision, highlighting what they called his commitment to harnessing professional expertise for national development.
The engagement also highlighted the role of collaboration between political leaders and professional groups in addressing Ghana’s development challenges.
