The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed its immediate past Deputy National Youth Organizer, Ms. Sandra Sarkodee-Addo, as the Party’s Deputy Director of Protocol.
Her appointment represents another significant milestone in a political career that has progressed from grassroots organization and student leadership to the national executive level of the NPP.
Ms. Sarkodee-Addo began her party activism as a polling-station youth organizer before serving as Head of Legal Affairs for the Greater Accra Regional branch of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of the NPP (TESCON). She subsequently rose to become Deputy National Youth Organizer, distinguishing herself through youth mobilization, political education, stakeholder engagement, and organizational leadership.
She currently serves the NPP in several strategic capacities, including as a member of the Foreign Policy and Diaspora Committee and the Youth Development Policy Committee. She is also Secretary to the Elite and Alumni Committee and a member of the Party’s Youth Project Team.
As Deputy Director of Protocol, Ms. Sarkodee-Addo is expected to support the coordination of official party engagements, ceremonies, high-level visits, conferences, and interactions involving party executives, dignitaries, diplomatic representatives, and other stakeholders.
Her legal training, political experience, organizational skills, and familiarity with the NPP’s structures are expected to strengthen the work of the Party’s Protocol Directorate.
Ms. Sarkodee-Addo holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. This combination of legal knowledge and international-relations expertise provides a strong foundation for her new responsibilities.
Beyond partisan politics, she is known as a youth advocate, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and grassroots mobilizer committed to expanding opportunities for young people and women. Her work has consistently promoted youth participation, leadership development, civic engagement, and inclusive governance.
Her journey from polling-station organization and TESCON leadership to Deputy National Youth Organizer and now Deputy Director of Protocol reflects her dedication to the NPP and its grassroots.
The appointment further highlights the Party’s recognition of emerging women leaders and young professionals who have demonstrated competence, loyalty, and commitment to public service.
Ms. Sarkodee-Addo is expected to bring energy, discipline, and valuable political experience to her new position as the NPP strengthens its internal organization and prepares for future engagements.
