Alhaji Seidu, a former NDC Deputy Organizer hopeful for the Ashanti Region, has donated 100 Agro Crown Sprayer machines to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
This contribution is aimed at supporting the party’s campaign activities ahead of the December 7th general elections.
Presenting the items to the Regional Chairman, Augustus Andrew Nana Akwasi, Seidu stated, “Chairman, I’m aware of the requests our local farmers are making for support with their farming activities. I believe these sprayers will assist our farmers and bolster the John Dramani Mahama campaign.”
Alhaji Seidu also called on his fellow businessmen who are unable to participate directly in the regional door-to-door campaign to contribute by donating money and materials to support the campaign efforts.
In response, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, receiving the items on behalf of the party’s flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, commended Seidu for his generous support.
“The party’s doors are open to any member or sympathizer who wishes to support our election-related activities,” he said.
Chairman Nana Akwasi further remarked, “We are facing many challenges in our campaign. The Akufo-Addo and Bawumia government’s poor agricultural policies have worsened the plight of local farmers. Many cannot even afford fertilizers and other farming inputs. Everywhere we go, farmers are voicing their concerns. We want to assure them that this situation will change. All they need to do is vote for the NDC, and we will revive the agricultural sector when given the opportunity.”
