The Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, on Tuesday hosted another successful session of the Bantama Constituency Clinic.
The initiative is designed to deepen direct engagement between the MP and his constituents.
The event, held at the Bantama Parliament grounds from 9:00am to 1:00pm, drew a cross-section of community members who took the opportunity to raise a wide range of concerns affecting their daily lives.

Issues discussed included poor drainage systems, road safety hazards such as overspeeding, youth unemployment, and appeals for financial and social assistance.

In an atmosphere of openness and mutual respect, Asenso-Boakye held one-on-one discussions with dozens of constituents, listening attentively to their grievances and providing advice, referrals, and, where possible, immediate interventions.
The clinic also served as a formal avenue for submitting petitions and relevant documentation for further parliamentary or administrative action.

“The Constituency Clinic is a practical expression of what I believe leadership should be—accessible, accountable, and responsive,” Asenso-Boakye said.
“These sessions allow me to connect directly with the people, understand their challenges firsthand, and act swiftly to find solutions or escalate issues appropriately.”

Since entering Parliament in 2021, Asenso-Boakye remains the only Member of Parliament in Ghana to implement this innovative approach to constituency engagement.

The Bantama Constituency Clinic has emerged as a pioneering model of participatory governance—offering structured, scheduled opportunities for constituents to interact meaningfully with their elected representative.

The initiative was supported by the local assembly members, constituency party executives, and a team of dedicated volunteers who helped coordinate logistics and manage the screening and registration process.

Cases requiring follow-up—whether legal, health-related, or administrative—were documented for further action in collaboration with relevant institutions.

The Constituency Clinic is part of the MP’s broader commitment to inclusive governance and community development. Hon. Asenso-Boakye has pledged to sustain the initiative as a regular and responsive platform for constituent engagement and grassroots problem-solving.

Participants at the clinic praised the MP for his continued accessibility, empathy, and hands-on approach to addressing the concerns of the people of Bantama.
