Veteran politician Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko has raised concerns about the ongoing “Thank You Tour,” warning that it is veering off course and threatening the unity of the party it was intended to strengthen.
In a statement issued from his office on Monday, Agyarko noted that the tour, originally designed as a beacon of hope to reconnect with grassroots supporters and restore the party’s shine, has instead been marred by discord, blame-shifting, and internal strife.
“This regrettable turn of events threatens to inflict serious collateral damage on the very fabric of our party,” he cautioned, adding that the situation risks eroding the goodwill and trust cultivated among the Ghanaian people.
Agyarko called on party leadership to act swiftly and decisively, emphasizing the need to “apply the brakes” and reassess the direction of the tour.
He urged for a “carefully recalibrated approach” that prioritizes genuine reconciliation, solidarity, and purposeful engagement.
“We must pull back from what increasingly looks like an imminent collision course and chart a path that upholds the unity, dignity, and forward-looking spirit of our tradition,” he said.
Concluding his statement, Agyarko appealed for collective resolve to ensure the Thank You Tour fulfills its original mission in a manner that honors the party’s proud legacy.
