Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Karaga Constituency, Dr. Amin Adam, has confidently forecasted a decisive win for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7th general elections, particularly in the Northern Region.
Speaking at the Bantama Constituency’s Big Walk and campaign launch event, which attracted a large turnout of party supporters, Dr. Amin stressed the NPP’s determination to secure a dominant victory in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the Northern Region, the finance minister boldly declared that the NPP would defeat the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the presidential election and win the majority of parliamentary seats in the region.
“We in the Northern Region are going to beat the NDC,” Minister Amin asserted, signaling the NPP’s growing influence in what has traditionally been a contested region.
He also emphasized the party’s commitment to outperforming the NDC, stating, “We are going to take the majority of the parliamentary seats in the region”.
Turning his attention to the NPP’s stronghold in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Amin urged supporters to deliver a landslide victory for the party, challenging them by saying, “If the NDC claims the Northern Region is their stronghold and we are going to beat them, Ashanti Region, what will you do for the NPP? We want you to give us 85% “.
Dr. Amin’s remarks reflect the NPP’s broader strategy to solidify its support in key regions, particularly in the Northern and Ashanti Regions, as the party ramps up its campaign efforts in the lead-up to the 2024 elections.
His confidence in a Northern Region victory signals the party’s aim to consolidate votes in areas traditionally seen as NDC strongholds. As the election date approaches, both the NPP and the NDC are intensifying their campaigns, with the Northern Region emerging as a critical battleground.
The Bantama Big Walk and campaign launch served as a rallying point for NPP supporters, with Dr. Amin’s speech highlighting the party’s achievements and calling for unity and dedication as the party heads into the crucial final months before the elections.
