Tamale-based company Oboye Azimah has donated 10 Apsonic motorcycles to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) towards preparations for the 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebration.
The donation adds to a growing list of contributions from corporate organisations and businesses supporting the Ministry’s preparations for the annual celebration, which honours farmers and other stakeholders for their contribution to Ghana’s agricultural development.
The motorcycles are expected to support the Ministry’s activities as it prepares for this year’s Farmers’ Day, with the latest contribution further underscoring the increasing role of the private sector in supporting the agricultural sector and the national celebration.
Receiving the motorcycles, the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, thanked Oboye Azimah for the gesture and appealed to other organisations to support the Ministry and the agricultural sector in similar ways.
The Chief Executive Officer of Oboye Azimah, Mr Imoro Abdul Razak, said the donation reflected the company’s commitment to Ghana’s agricultural sector.
He pledged the company’s continued support to the Ministry as the business expands.
The contribution comes amid a series of donations from companies and organisations towards the 2026 National Farmers’ Day celebration, highlighting growing private-sector participation in efforts to support and recognise the contribution of farmers to the Ghanaian economy.
