A native of Nchiraa has donated an ambulance van to the Nchiraa Polyclinic in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region.
The donation aims to facilitate referrals and emergency cases from Nchiraa and surrounding villages to the Wenchi Methodist Hospital.
Madam Grace Koduah and her family, known for their unwavering philanthropic spirit, have also presented 35 hospital beds to the facility.
Receiving the items, the Wenchi Municipal Director of the Ghana Health Service, Nana Nyarko Stephen Ameyaw, thanked the philanthropists for their commitment to ensuring that the people of Nchiraa receive the necessary healthcare support.
He noted that the donation had come at a crucial time to help improve healthcare delivery.
Highlighting the impact of the donation, he stated, “We often face significant challenges with referrals and transporting patients to and from the facility. Sometimes, commercial or passenger vehicles used for emergency transport are inadequate for patients’ conditions, but this ambulance will greatly resolve that issue.”
With this donation, the Nchiraa Polyclinic is now better equipped to handle emergencies and provide critical medical care, potentially saving countless lives.
He assured that the ambulance and other donated items would be put to good use.
Nana Nyarko Stephen Ameyaw also took the opportunity to appeal to the government, benevolent organizations, and individuals to support the facility.
