The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced that it will begin reimbursing academic user fees for first-year students enrolled in accredited diploma and degree programs at public tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year.
This initiative, which takes effect in June 2025, is part of the government’s No-Fees-Stress policy.
In an official statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of SLTF, Dr. Saajida Shiraz, the Fund confirmed that the reimbursements align with policy directives from the Ministry of Education and underscore the John Dramani Mahama administration’s commitment to building human capital and promoting access to quality education.
Eligible students are required to submit their applications through the official No-Fees-Stress portal at https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh. The SLTF noted that all applications will be verified against admission records provided by the respective public tertiary institutions.
“We urge all eligible first-year students to apply promptly to ensure timely reimbursement,” Dr. Shiraz stated.
The SLTF further encouraged students to visit the official website for any inquiries, concerns, or assistance related to the application process.
