President John Dramani Mahama is set to kick off a nationwide Thank You Tour in the Volta Region this Friday, January 24, 2025. The tour aims to express his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Ghana for their unwavering support and trust during the 2024 elections.

Upon his arrival, President Mahama will be welcomed by a grand durbar featuring chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, religious figures, members of labor unions, and key representatives from the informal sector. This event seeks to strengthen the bond between the former President and the citizens, celebrating their crucial contributions to the nation.

“The President will be welcomed with a grand durbar of Chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, members of various labour unions, and key representatives from the informal sector”.

The communique signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Ag. spokesperson to the President noted that President Mahama remains committed to fulfilling his campaign promises, having previously demonstrated his dedication to effective governance.

“President Mahama is steadfastly committed to fulfilling his campaign promises. He has set a historic precedent as the first president in Ghana’s history to announce a full cabinet within two weeks of assuming office”

The tour marks a significant moment in recognizing and honoring the invaluable support and trust of the Ghanaian people.

The Volta Region is the first stop in this nationwide tour, which promises to be a vibrant celebration of unity and pride. All Ghanaians are invited to join in this special occasion as the nation comes together to build a brighter future.

“The presidency invites all Ghanaians to come together in unity, pride and celebration during this special occasion. We look forward to a vibrant and successful event in the Volta Region as we recognize and honour our fellow citizens’ invaluable support and trust”.
