Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has extended heartfelt sympathies to those affected in the severe rainstorm that tore through the Ashanti Region on March 4, 2025.
The storm ravaged school buildings and homes in areas within the Mampong Constituency, Kumawu Constituency and Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency, affecting numerous families and communities.

He acknowledged the immense challenges faced by the communities and assured them of immediate support.
“We are deeply saddened by the impact of this storm on our communities,” Dr. Amoakohene stated.
“Our thoughts are with those who have suffered losses, and we are committed to providing the necessary assistance to help them recover.”

To expedite relief efforts, Dr. Amoakohene has tasked the Coordinating Directors and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) with conducting a comprehensive assessment of the damages.


In a statement, he said “I have tasked the Coordinating Directors and NADMO to conduct a swift assessment of the damages and report their findings to the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) for urgent intervention and relief support”.
“We stand with all affected communities during this difficult time and will work tirelessly to provide the necessary assistance. Stay strong, and together, we will rebuild”, Dr. Amoakohene emphasized.
