Nigeria Unconquered Foundation (NUF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sports and Youth Development Centre of ECOWAS Commission to begin the ECOWAS Paralympic Games.
The MoU has an overall agenda to promote inclusivity, unity, and empowerment of People with disability through ECOWAS Paralympic Games (EPG).
It is also to create opportunities for persons living with disabilities and injured soldiers to showcase their talents, build on their dreams, and contribute to their communities.
The ECOWAS Paralympic Games, EPG, is not entirely about sports, but, about humanity, sympathy, care and support.
The event is scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2026 and bi-annual (every two years) and thereafter, be held in a different West African country that wins the hosting rights.
The Nigerian Unconquered Foundation (NUJ), a charity organization has a special interest in supporting wounded and injured soldiers.
Over the past two years, in collaboration with the defense headquarters, NUF, recovered more than 51 wounded and injured soldiers.
