The Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for Asawase, Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mohammed, is set to launch the Government Accountability Series, a new initiative by the Presidency’s Communications Office, on Monday, July 14, 2025.
The minister made the announcement via a post on his official Facebook page, stating that the series is part of the government’s broader commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.
The Government Accountability Series is designed to provide the public with updates on the administration’s performance over the past six months, highlighting achievements, challenges, and ongoing efforts across various sectors.
Alhaji Muntaka, who will deliver the opening presentation, will focus on key developments in the security and public safety sector, including recent reforms, strategic interventions, and challenges faced under his ministry.
According to the minister, the series will be held three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11:00 a.m., with subsequent sessions featuring other sector ministers.
“This platform will provide the public with updates on the government’s performance. Let’s continue working together to build a safer, stronger, and more accountable Ghana,” he wrote in his post.
The sessions will take place at the Presidency and are expected to be streamed on official government platforms.
The initiative has been welcomed by some civil society groups as a positive step toward deepening public engagement and enhancing government transparency.
