President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Japan for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) Conference scheduled for Yokohama Japan from August 20 to August 22, 2025.
He arrived in Tokyo, Japan on Emirates flight EK 318.
The TICAD, an international conference focused on African development. It has been led by the Government of Japan since 1993 and is co-organized with the United Nations (UN), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the African Union Commission (AUC) and the World Bank.
Through the TICAD process, Japan aims to deepen its relationships with African countries and to support African-led development.
The event will also feature the awards ceremony for the Fifth Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize.
