A man, alleged to be a military officer dressed in civilian clothes, has been captured on CCTV assaulting a pharmacy attendant and a female customer at a drugstore located within Burma Camp in Accra.
In video footage available to Kumasi Mail, the man is seen slapping both the pharmacy attendant and the woman during a heated confrontation inside the shop.
According to sources familiar with the incident, the man reportedly sent a young boy to purchase medication worth about GH¢65.
However, he later returned to the pharmacy demanding a refund after rejecting the drugs.
The attendant is said to have explained that drugs sold are non-returnable, in line with standard pharmacy policy — a response that allegedly provoked the man’s anger, resulting in the assault.
It is not immediately clear what further triggered his violent behavior, but the video shows the two victims visibly shaken after the encounter.
Authorities at Burma Camp and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have yet to comment on the incident.
Meanwhile, calls are mounting for an official investigation to identify the suspect and ensure appropriate disciplinary action if he is confirmed to be a member of the military.
