The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region is gearing up for an energised political season as former Second Lady Hajia Samira Bawumia readies to kick off a 10-day mobilisation tour from November 17 to 26, 2025.
The outreach programme, which marks the first phase of her regional engagement, is designed to strengthen party structures, boost morale at the grassroots, and rally support for her husband, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the NPP’s presidential primaries slated for January 31, 2026.
During the tour, Hajia Samira Bawumia is expected to visit 21 constituencies, meeting with polling station officers, constituency executives, and influential party stakeholders.
Her interactions will focus on sharing Dr. Bawumia’s vision for the party and outlining the roadmap toward a decisive campaign season.
Her itinerary includes sessions with regional executives, women’s wings, and both current and past female leaders whose efforts have contributed significantly to the party’s strong presence in the Ashanti Region.
Renowned for her composed and engaging style, Hajia Samira is anticipated to hold constructive dialogues with party coordinators, listening to their concerns and reinforcing the message of unity and teamwork. Central to her conversations will be a call for renewed dedication and collaboration among party members.
She is also expected to encourage delegates to rally behind Dr. Bawumia to secure a commanding victory in the upcoming primaries and position the party strongly for the 2028 general elections.
Party supporters across the region have expressed excitement ahead of her arrival, signalling robust participation and an enthusiastic reception for one of the NPP’s most influential voices.
