The Overlord of Gadangme State, Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse has as a matter of urgency petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Dampare to arrest and prosecute one Theophilus Teiko Tagoe.
In a petition letter from the office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse to the police boss, it stated “I write to your esteemed office to bring to your attention an urgent matter that requires immediate investigation and action.”
The petition explained that, “the matter concerns one Theophilus Teiko Tagoe, who has unlawfully appropriated lands belonging to the Nungua Stool (the ‘Stool’) under false pretenses and fraudulent misrepresentation.”
It added that the said
“Theophilus Teiko Tagoe has trespassed and unlawfully appropriated Stool lands under the false pretense that the Stool had leased a parcel of land to him situated at Adjiringanor, Accra.
“He further claims his actions are justified by a Supreme Court judgment obtained in collaboration with the Stool, referenced as Suit Number J4/29/2022, Theophilus Teiko Tagoe & Anor v. Dr. Prempeh & Anor, dated 26th April 2023 (the ‘Judgment’).
“Through these fraudulent misrepresentations and under the guise of enforcing the aforementioned Judgment, Mr Theophilus Teiko Tagoe has encroached upon and unlawfully taken possession of lands that rightfully belong to the Nungua Stool.
“His actions are not only illegal but also threaten the integrity and rightful ownership of the Stool’s lands.”
The letter added “The Nungua Stool categorically denies any leasing of the said lands to Mr. Tagoe or any authorization for him to act on our behalf ni this manner. His actions are not only illegal but also detrimental to the rightful owners of the lands and the integrity of the Nungua Stool.
“By this correspondence, we respectfully request your esteemed office to:
Conduct a thorough investigation into the activities of Theophilus Teiko Tagoe concerning the unlawful appropriation and trespass on the Nungua Stool lands.”
“Arrest and prosecute Mr. Tagoe for his fraudulent activities and trespass on the
Stool lands.
“Ensure the restoration of the lands ot the Nungua Stool and prevent any further encroachment by Mr. Tagoe or any other unauthorized persons.
“The Nungua Stool is committed to cooperating fully with the Ghana Police Service in this investigation and providing any necessary documentation or evidence ot
support the swift resolution of this matter,” the petition signed by the Gborbu Wulomo stated.
