The Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Abigail Elorm Akwambia Mensah, has convened the Centre’s first all-sector management meeting of the year, signalling a push for tighter coordination, sharper accountability and stronger institutional performance.
The high-level meeting on Friday, held at MASLOC’s Head Office in Accra, brought together management staff, sector managers, administrators, recovery managers and Planning, Policy, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (PPRM&E) managers from the Northern, Middle and Southern operational sectors, formally kicking off the Centre’s 2026 engagement activities.
Setting the tone, Madam Mensah charged management and sector leaders to recommit to MASLOC’s core values, stressing that results would only come through discipline and teamwork. “Transparency, professionalism and collective responsibility must guide everything we do if we are to deliver fully on MASLOC’s mandate,” she said, urging leaders to work collaboratively and execute agreed priorities with accountability.
She further emphasised the need for effective oversight at all operational levels, noting that strong collaboration between management and the sectors was critical to improving service delivery and institutional credibility.
As part of the meeting’s agenda, sector managers presented composite reports detailing performance trends, operational challenges, loan recovery efforts, monitoring and evaluation outcomes, and priority actions mapped out for the year ahead.
Discussions also zeroed in on performance reporting, internal systems and workflow coordination, with participants examining service delivery standards and identifying operational gaps requiring corrective action.
According to the CEO, such frank assessments were necessary to “ground management decisions in the realities on the ground and drive practical solutions.”
The meeting ended with a shared understanding of roles, clearly defined action points and renewed commitment to cross-sector collaboration, reinforcing MASLOC’s focus on excellence and results-driven service delivery.
