The Administrator of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), Sofo Tanko Rashid-Computer, has paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, at the Ga Mantse Palace in Kaneshie, Accra.
The visit forms part of efforts by the Fund’s leadership to engage key traditional authorities and formally introduce its new administration to the Ga Traditional Council.
During the meeting, Mr. Rashid-Computer outlined GIFEC’s strategic priorities, focusing on expanding digital access and deepening ICT inclusion across communities. He reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to working closely with the Ga Traditional Council to strengthen electronic communications infrastructure within the Ga State.
He also expressed appreciation to the Ga Mantse and the Council for their leadership and support.

As part of the engagement, the GIFEC Administrator donated 10 laptops and five desktop computers to the Traditional Council to enhance its administrative operations through improved digital capacity.
Receiving the items, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II thanked the Administrator and his delegation for the gesture and pledged his support for GIFEC’s initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide and promoting socio-economic development.
Mr. Rashid-Computer was accompanied by the Deputy Administrator, Mrs. Nana Akyaa Amoah-Amissah; the Director of Corporate Affairs, Ms. Francisca Mawufemor Adjei; as well as other management members and staff.
The visit underscores GIFEC’s renewed drive to strengthen collaboration with traditional authorities in advancing its mandate of ensuring universal access to electronic communications nationwide.
