Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced plan temporary shutdown of the Barekese Water Treatment Plant on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 5 AM to 6 PM.
This measure is necessary for the replacement of valves and the tie-in of newly laid pipelines due to ongoing construction at the Suame roundabout.
Affected areas include Suame, Tafo/Pankrono, Asokwa, Bantama, and several others in the Greater Kumasi region. Customers are advised to store sufficient water in advance to mitigate inconvenience during this period.
GWL Management assures that water supply will resume promptly after the completion of the work.
