A fuel tanker explosion at Potsin Junction on the Kasoa–Winneba Highway in the Central Region has left residents in fear after flames spread to a nearby house in the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident occurred on March 17, 2026, when the tanker reportedly overturned and spilled its contents, which subsequently ignited, causing a massive fire.
Eyewitnesses said the blaze rapidly engulfed parts of the surrounding area, raising concerns about the safety of residents and properties nearby.
Emergency response teams, including fire officers, were deployed to the scene and have since secured adjoining buildings while working to contain the fire.
Authorities are yet to release official information regarding casualties or the full extent of damage caused by the explosion.
