The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has urged applicants who failed the medical assessment in the ongoing Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) recruitment exercise to verify the reasons for their disqualification.
In a Facebook post, the deputy minister advised affected candidates to visit the medical centres where they were screened to obtain details of their medical evaluations.
He further encouraged applicants diagnosed with treatable conditions to seek appropriate medical care, noting that such individuals would be given another opportunity to undergo reassessment.
According to him, the planned medical review process will be conducted at no cost to the applicants.
The announcement forms part of efforts by the Defence Ministry to ensure fairness and provide a second chance for qualified candidates whose initial disqualification may have been due to manageable health conditions.
The Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise is conducted periodically to enlist eligible individuals into the military, with medical screening forming a critical component of the selection process.
