The Interior Minister, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has supported two care institutions in Kumasi through a donation aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable children.
According to a statement shared on Facebook, the donation was carried out on his behalf by the Asawase Constituency Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Mustapha Ayarga, alongside other party executives and functionaries.
The beneficiaries included the Kumasi Children’s Home and the Garden City Special School. Items donated comprised bags of rice, boxes of cooking oil, mackerel, and tomato paste.

The minister described the gesture as a modest contribution toward supporting disadvantaged members of society. He emphasized that the initiative reflects the NDC’s core values of equity, inclusiveness, and social protection.

He further noted that the party remains committed to promoting compassionate and people-centered leadership, stressing that vulnerable groups, particularly children, must not be neglected.

The statement reaffirmed the party’s intention to continue advocating policies and interventions aimed at strengthening social protection systems and improving living conditions for underprivileged communities.

The donation forms part of broader efforts by political leaders and organizations to support social welfare institutions across the country.
