The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged the public to disregard reports suggesting an impending government reshuffle, describing such claims as misinformation.

In a press statement issued on June 6, 2026, the party’s National Communication Bureau said certain individuals were deliberately spreading false information aimed at creating confusion and “poisoning the atmosphere.”
The NDC emphasized that the official spokesperson for the administration is Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu and advised the public to verify any reports concerning government decisions through his official communication channels before sharing them.
The party noted that efforts to combat the growing challenge of misinformation require collective responsibility from citizens and media practitioners alike.
“The official spokesperson for this administration is Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu. Kindly verify any such information through his official channels before sharing it,” the statement said.
The NDC further reminded the public that the Cyber Security Act carries significant legal implications and urged Ghanaians to exercise caution and responsibility in their communication, particularly on social media and digital platforms.
The statement was signed by Godwin Ako Gunn, Deputy National Communication Officer of the NDC.
The party’s intervention comes amid widespread speculation and unverified reports circulating about possible changes within the government, which it insists should be ignored unless confirmed through official sources.
