David Asamoah appointed acting ECG managing director after Dubik Mahama’s resignation

David Asamoah has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), following the resignation of Samuel Dubik Mahama on Wednesday, September 25.

Prior to his new role, Asamoah served as the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Commercial Services at ECG. His appointment is on an interim basis, pending a final decision by the Government of Ghana, which remains the sole shareholder of the company.

The announcement was made by the Board Chairman of ECG, Alexander Afenyo Markin.

Asamoah brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously held the role of Sectional Manager of Revenue, where he was responsible for Technical Investigation. Throughout his career at ECG, he has handled several high-profile cases, including testifying in court against companies involved in illegal power connections.
