Akpini Traditional area lauds President Mahama for appointing Dr. Asiamah as Bank of Ghana Governor

The Chiefs and people of the Akpini Traditional Area have expressed profound appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing Dr. Johnson Pandid Kwesi Asiamah as the Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

In a statement signed by Mr. Anthony Akwensie on behalf of Togbui Dagadu IX, the Paramount Chief of the Akpini Traditional Area, the community described Dr. Asiamah’s appointment as a recognition of his dedication, competence, and extensive experience in the financial sector.

“This distinguished appointment is a testament to his unwavering dedication, competence, and vast experience in the financial sector, and we are profoundly grateful that you have recognized his abilities by entrusting him with this critical role,” the statement read.

The people of Kpando noted that the appointment brought immense pride and joy to the Akpini Traditional Area and reaffirmed the President’s commitment to harnessing the talents of qualified individuals for national development.

The statement further assured President Mahama of their full support for Dr. Asiamah, expressing confidence in his ability to uphold sound monetary policies that would enhance economic development and improve livelihoods across the country.

“We are confident that under his leadership, the Bank of Ghana will continue to foster sound monetary policies that will enhance economic development and improve the livelihoods of all Ghanaians,” the statement added.

The Akpini Traditional Council also pledged their continued prayers and support for the President’s leadership and government.
