The Church of Pentecost’s (COP) Ministry to Celebrities (MTC) has initiated discussions with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation over a proposed partnership aimed at promoting holistic development within Ghana’s sports sector.

A delegation led by Apostle Kingsley Addai, Chairman of MTC, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, on Tuesday. The team included Pastor Michael Laryea Jnr, the Ministry’s National Coordinator, and other executive members.
The meeting focused on presenting a proposal for collaboration between the two institutions, with an emphasis on integrating discipline, spirituality, mental health support, talent development, and career sustainability into sports development.

According to the delegation, the initiative seeks to address not only the physical aspects of sports but also the personal and professional well-being of athletes and stakeholders.
A key component of the proposal is the promotion of spiritual well-being, which MTC believes plays a crucial role in shaping character, fostering personal growth, and ensuring long-term success both on and off the field.

Officials from both sides expressed optimism about the potential impact of the partnership, noting that a more comprehensive development model could strengthen Ghana’s sports industry.
Further engagements are expected as discussions continue toward formalizing the proposed collaboration.
