Coach Kwasi Appiah has Temporary Step-Aside as Executive Council Member of The GFA until the end of November 2024.
In response to CAF copied GFA, He cited conflict of interest as the reason. Since the start of AFCON qualifiers, Appiah has excused himself from all EXCO.
In a letter addressed to the former Black Stars player and head coach, Appiah has been directed to step down from one of his roles most likely temporarily as a head coach for Sudan until both games are completed.
Sudan ranks second in Group F with three points while Ghana ranks third with just a point after losing 1-0 to Angola and drawing 1-1 with Niger.
The Black Stars will take on Sudan on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium after CAF granted its approval for the stadium to host the tie in the wake of Ghana’s struggles presenting a venue suitable to host a Category 3 game.
