MobileMoney Fintech LTD (MMFL) and MTN Ghana are set to participate in the 2026 3i Africa Summit, a major gathering of fintech players, regulators, and investors on the continent.
The summit runs from May 6 to May 8 at the Destiny Arena in Accra on the theme, “The Next Frontier: Shaping Africa’s Integrated FinTech Future.”
MTN Group President and CEO Ralph Mupita will speak in a fireside chat on “The Future of Digital Finance in Emerging Markets.”
Ebenezer Twum Asante, MTN Group Senior Vice President for WECA, is also expected to join discussions on the expansion of mobile money and telecom-led financial services.
MobileMoney Fintech LTD CEO Shaibu Haruna will deliver a keynote on “Strengthening Consumer Protection in High-Velocity Credit and Banking Markets,” focusing on safeguards as digital lending and mobile banking expand.

Adoma Owusu, General Manager for Fintech Business Development and Expansion at MTN Group Fintech, will join a panel on the practical use of virtual assets in payments and service delivery.
Other contributors include Sylvia Otuo Acheampong, Chief Products and Services Officer of MMFL, and Angela Mensah-Poku, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of MTN Ghana, who will moderate sessions during the event.
Commenting on the summit, Shaibu Haruna said Africa’s fintech sector is taking a more active role in shaping its future but must balance growth with accountability.
“Africa is no longer waiting for the world to define its financial future; we are actively building it. At MobileMoney Fintech LTD, we understand that speed and scale in digital finance must always be matched by responsibility. The 3i Africa Summit is exactly the kind of platform where those conversations must happen, and we are proud to be part of shaping that dialogue,” he said.
Now in its third year, the 3i Africa Summit focuses on innovation, investment, and impact, with discussions expected to cover areas such as artificial intelligence, open banking, tokenisation, and digital public infrastructure.
