The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, open nominations for its Constituency Executive Elections as part of the party’s internal electoral process.
The National Secretariat, in a statement signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah on behalf of the General Secretary, urged members seeking to contest the various constituency executive positions to take advantage of the nomination period and comply with the prescribed requirements.
According to the statement, all payments for nomination forms and filing fees must be made strictly through the party’s online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, using mobile money across all networks.
It said aspirants, proposers, seconders and endorsers must be members in good standing and must have fully paid their membership dues for the past four years.
Members with outstanding dues arrears have been directed to settle them through 92025# or the party’s online dues platform.
The party has also officially opened campaigning for aspirants contesting its 2026 internal elections at the constituency, regional and national levels.
The National Secretariat has directed party officials, including regional and constituency officers as well as ward coordinators, to allow campaign activities by all eligible aspirants within their respective jurisdictions.
However, the party said the campaign window does not apply to persons pursuing or intending to pursue parliamentary ambitions.
The directive specifically excludes sitting Members of Parliament and persons who are currently considering or expressing an intention to contest parliamentary elections from engaging in campaign activities under the internal executive elections campaign window.
The statement warned that any breach of the directive would be treated seriously and dealt with in accordance with the party’s rules and regulations.
The National Secretariat further urged constituencies, aspirants and members to conduct themselves with discipline, decorum and respect for the party’s democratic values throughout the electoral process.
It expressed confidence that the cooperation of all constituencies and members would help ensure a transparent, peaceful, orderly and successful internal election.
