Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President of Ghana, has earned praise following his appearance at the 2025 IDU Forum in Brussels, where he shared insights on the importance of adaptive leadership in a rapidly changing global landscape.
In a Facebook post, policy analyst and political commentator Kofi Bentil said, “All politics is local, but to succeed in a fast changing world, you need a leader who understands what is going on and how it impacts Ghana. DMB is on the ball’’.

Among the many reactions to the post was a notable comment from legal practitioner and journalist Samson Anyenini, who wrote: “Wow! He knows his stuff. His party must get serious and not reduce who leads it to the joke we starting to see again.”
His remark seemed to commend Bawumia’s competence while urging the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prioritize capable leadership ahead of upcoming elections.
The discussion reflects growing public interest in leadership choices as political parties in Ghana prepare for the 2024 general elections.
