Road Minister and Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, Francis Asenso Boakye has issued a rallying cry to his constituents ahead of the upcoming December general election.
The NPP stalwart is urging Bantama voters to aim for an unprecedented 95% turnout in favor of the ruling party.
Citing the constituency’s impressive 85% vote share in the last four years, Asenso Boakye attributed this success to the developmental strides made by President Nana Addo and Vice President Bawumia in Bantema and Kumasi.
“In the last four years, Bantema secured 85% of the votes. Thanks to the remarkable work done by Nana Addo and Bawumia for the people of Bantama and Kumasi, we’re aiming to vote massively this time around to achieve 95%”.
The MP emphasized the importance of maintaining the NPP’s stronghold in Bantama, stating, “The people of Bantama consistently vote for the NPP. Let’s encourage everyone in this constituency to do the same.”
He highlighted ongoing projects, including schools and roads, as key reasons for continued support.
Asenso Boakye’s call for an increased voter turnout comes as the NPP seeks to solidify its base in the Ashanti Region, traditionally considered the party’s stronghold. The ambitious 95% target underscores the high stakes of the upcoming election and the NPP’s determination to maintain its grip on power.
As the election approaches, all eyes will be on Bantama to see if it can deliver the overwhelming support its MP is calling for, potentially setting a new benchmark for political loyalty in Ghana’s electoral landscape.
