The Ghana Police Service has confirm the arrest suspect Yaw Korateng at Nsawam in the Eastern Region for being in possession of a device suspected to be a property of the Electoral Commission (EC) Friday 23rd August, 2024.
According to the police arrested suspect is currently in police custody “The suspect is in Police custody assisting the investigation”, the police administration narrated.
Meanwhile, the Police Service has informed the EC of the arrest and invited them to establish whether or not the device belongs to them.
“As the investigation into this incident continues, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all stakeholders for their continuous support to ensure security, law and order during this election period and beyond”, the statement concluded.
