Prophet Nagil Gazi has accused former Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong of tarnishing his reputation and “committing sins against the Church of God” through what he describes as unfounded public allegations.
The spiritual leader made the claims during a recent interview on Starr Chat with Bola Ray, stating that the MP’s comments have caused him both emotional and spiritual distress.
Prophet Gazi said his spiritual “fathers” had advised him not to speak extensively about Mr. Agyapong, but he felt the need to respond to what he called lies.
“He destroyed people’s reputation,” he alleged. “He said I was sleeping with ladies in my church. Since I got married, I have never cheated.”
He clarified that he had a girlfriend before marriage but insisted that he has remained faithful ever since. Prophet Gazi also rejected allegations suggesting he engages in ritualistic practices.
“How can you say I drink blood?” he questioned. “I can’t be dirty, and so I’m hurt by the lies Kennedy Agyapong told about my personality.”
According to him, some of the attacks against him escalated after he prophesied that former President John Dramani Mahama would become president. “I suffered because I prophesied President Mahama would be a president,” he said.
Kennedy Agyapong has long been vocal in his criticism of certain pastors in Ghana, accusing some of misconduct, but he has not responded publicly to Prophet Gazi’s latest claims.
