One of the many prophetic declarations ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primary has drawn renewed public attention after events unfolded in line with the prediction.
Prophet Eric Boahen Uche, leader and founder of Reign House Chapel a Ghana-based cleric, correctly forecast the victory of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the NPP presidential primary.
According to the certified results, five candidates contested the highly competitive primary.
A total of 196,462 votes were cast, out of which 561 ballots were rejected, leaving 195,901 valid votes.
Dr. Bawumia emerged winner with 110,643 votes, representing 56.48 percent of the valid votes cast, surpassing the constitutional requirement of more than 50 percent to secure an outright victory.
Former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Ken Ohene Agyapong, who Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun prophesized was going to win the election placed second with 46,554 votes (23.76%) https://kumasimail.com/prophetic-vision-predicts-kennedy-agyapongs-rise-as-npp-flagbearer-bernard-elbernard/ , while Bryan Acheampong followed with 36,303 votes (18.53%).
The remaining candidates, Yaw Osei Adutwum and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, obtained 1,999 votes (1.02%) and 402 votes (0.21%) respectively.
Ahead of the election, several prophets, including Prophet Kofi Amponsah, Prophet Elbernard and Prophet Owusu Bempah, publicly predicted that Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would emerge victorious.
Prophet Uche, however, held a contrary view, insisting that Dr. Bawumia was the chosen candidate.
According to his earlier prophecy, Prophet Uche stated that Dr. Bawumia would win the primary with a margin of either 55 or 56 percent.
The final declared results — 56.48 percent — closely aligned with that prediction, earning him recognition among his followers and sections of the public who track prophetic declarations related to national events.
Following the outcome of the election, Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun, who had strongly backed Kennedy Ohene Agyapong in his prophecy, publicly apologized to Ghanaians over what he described as a failed prediction.
The accuracy of Prophet Uche’s forecast has reignited discussions about the role of prophecy in Ghana’s political discourse, particularly during election seasons when religious leaders often make public declarations about electoral outcomes.
While political analysts maintain that elections are ultimately decided at the ballot box, supporters of Prophet Uche say the outcome has enhanced his credibility as a religious figure whose prophecies deserve attention.
The NPP presidential primary, held nationwide, marked a significant milestone for the party as it prepares for the 2024 general elections, with Dr. Bawumia emerging as the party’s flagbearer.
