The Omanhene of Yeji, Nana Pimampim Yaw Kagberese V, has expressed his deep gratitude to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for their significant contributions to the development of Yeji.
During a courtesy call by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP’s running mate, at his palace in Yeji, Nana Kagberese V said, “The people of Yeji will forever remain grateful to the NPP for the massive developmental projects they provide for us whenever they are in government.”
He praised the NPP for their efforts under President Kufuor, noting that the creation of the Pru East District from the former Atebubu-Amantin District was a direct response to their needs.
“This decision has greatly accelerated our development,” he added.
The Omanhene also commended the current administration under President Akufo-Addo for constructing Astro turfs and other commendable projects, stating, “These developments have been very beneficial to us.”
In his remarks, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh assured that the NPP will continue to support Yeji.
“We will never turn our backs on the people of Yeji,” he said. He promised that more projects are on the way and called on the chief to support their campaign with prayers and good counsel. “As we tour across the country with our message of hope, we seek your prayers and wise counsel,” Dr. Prempeh concluded.
