Maxwell Kofi Jumah, former Chief Executive Officer of GIHOC Distilleries and a former Member of Parliament, has been arrested by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
The arrest took place on Sunday morning at his residence in Kumasi. He is currently in NIB custody in Kumasi,
while his family has begun processes to secure bail.
Although the exact reason for his arrest remains unclear, sources within the NIB indicate that it is linked to an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of state funds during his tenure as CEO of the state-owned enterprise.
