The University for Development Studies (UDS) Dungu campus came alive as MTN Ghana delivered a thrilling night of music and celebration through MTN Pulse, a key highlight of this year’s MTN SavannahFest.
The event was designed to give students an unforgettable entertainment experience while promoting the MTN brand and supporting youth culture across Northern Ghana.
Students from the Nyankpala and Tamale City campuses trooped to the venue in their numbers, joined by residents of Tamale who could not resist the hype. The night quickly transformed into a festival of music, lights and pure excitement.
The spotlight was on two of Ghana’s finest acts, Medikal and Maccasio, who served explosive performances that kept the audience on their feet. Medikal stormed the stage with his signature crowd-pumping energy, dropping hit after hit as the students screamed along. The “Ayekoo” hitmaker had the atmosphere shaking with every track.
Maccasio, Northern Ghana’s own music powerhouse, elevated the energy even further. His entry triggered a deafening cheer and his performance kept the students chanting, dancing and livestreaming every moment. Many described his set as the true climax of the night.
UDS Dungu Campus SRC President Moses Azuure expressed deep appreciation to MTN for powering the event. He said, “When we came and there was this idea of bringing entertainment to UDS, we set out to look for collaborators and we thought of MTN. When we thought of MTN, we immediately reached out to them, and today we are very grateful to MTN and MTN for coming to our aid and coming to UDS.”
He added, “This is historic. Those of you who have been here for four years and more can testify that this is the biggest stage ever in the history of UDS. I must commend UDS students for believing in us and also MTN. Thank you, MTN. And we are celebrating the victory that we have won.”
The event, held under MTN SavannahFest, was crafted to offer premium entertainment to students while strengthening MTN Pulse’s connection with the youth. Apart from Medikal and Maccasio, several underground artistes thrilled the crowd, turning the event into an open platform for emerging talent.
It was a night of music, celebration and branding excellence. MTN Pulse once again positioned itself as the lifestyle network that fuels creativity, energizes student culture and connects young people across Ghana.
