The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man identified as Samuel Amadotor for allegedly publishing false information about Okatakye Boakye Danquah Abaabio I.
The arrest was made with support from the National Signals Bureau (NSB), according to a police statement issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
The police said the action followed a formal complaint lodged by Okatakye Abaabio I, who accused Amadotor of deliberately circulating false news about him.
According to the statement, Amadotor confessed during interrogation and claimed he was contracted by one Chairman Michael Yeboah to carry out the false publication.
The police noted that Chairman Yeboah is currently being sought to assist with ongoing investigations.
The suspect is in custody and is expected to be arraigned before court on Friday, November 21, 2025.
