Upper West Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abdul Nasir Saani, popularly known as Bunas, has urged the party’s youth to remain patient and hopeful as efforts continue to secure opportunities for them.
He made the call on Saturday, August 22, 2026, when he addressed a youth retreat organised by the NDC Upper West Regional Youth Wing and the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) at the Grand View Hotel in Wa.
The retreat brought together constituency youth organisers, TEIN members and patrons, and youth activists from across the region.
Mr Saani commended the youth for their dedication during the 2024 general elections, saying their efforts contributed to the NDC’s victory in all 11 parliamentary constituencies in the region and the increase in the presidential votes secured by President John Dramani Mahama.
He said the party recognised the sacrifices and expectations of its youth and was committed to working to create opportunities for them.
Mr Saani, however, urged them not to lose hope, stressing that opportunities would come at different times.
“Some will get their opportunities in the morning, others in the afternoon and others in the evening,” he said.
He also called on the youth to remain united and committed to the party as it pursued its development and employment agenda.
