Concerned National Service Personnel have marched to the headquarters of the National Service Authority (NSA), demanding accountability and clarification over alleged unauthorized deductions from their monthly allowances.
The personnel are particularly questioning a monthly deduction of GH¢60, which they say is linked to the Zeus Atlas programme.
According to the protesters, the deduction was introduced without their consent or adequate explanation, prompting calls for the Authority to provide details on the purpose of the programme and the basis for the deductions.
The personnel are also demanding answers over a GH¢41 registration fee paid during the June 2025 registration exercise.
They claim the amount has not been refunded, despite assurances that the registration fees would be returned, and are calling on the Authority to explain the delay and provide a clear timeline for the refunds.
Another major concern raised by the protesters is an insurance policy they allege has been taken out in their names.
The personnel say they have not been provided with adequate information about the policy, including its terms, coverage and the benefits to which they may be entitled.
They are therefore calling on the National Service Authority to account for the various deductions and payments, clarify the insurance arrangement and address what they describe as outstanding registration fee refunds.
The protesters say they expect the Authority to engage them on the concerns and provide transparent explanations regarding the financial arrangements affecting their monthly allowances.
