Hearts of Oak have made a bold move to strengthen their squad for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign by announcing the signing of experienced goalkeeper Benjamin Asare from Great Olympics.
The 32-year-old shot-stopper passed his medical in Accra on Tuesday afternoon and has subsequently signed a two-year deal with the Phobians.
Asare will join up with Aboubakar Ouattara’s squad and is expected to take over as the club’s number one goalkeeper.
The signing of Asare comes as Hearts of Oak looks to bounce back from a disappointing campaign that nearly saw the team relegated.
The Phobians are hoping that the addition of the experienced goalkeeper will bring stability and solidity to their defense ahead of the new season.
