The Ashanti Regional Coordinator for District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), Mr. Kwabena Senkyire , has gone haywire, threatening that God will punish electorates who benefit from DRIP initiative but vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections.
In his attacking best,Senkyire , who is the former Ashanti regional Director for National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) , argues that if the government of the day has provided these machines for road development across Ghana , then electorates should extend the mandate of the NPP else God will punish them for not doing so.
” Where your DRIP machines are should be the direction of your votes. If we have assembled machines in your community for road development , do you need to vote against us? But if you do that God will punish you”
According to him, roads are going to be paved across Ghana since DRIP primarily aims to sway voters to vote for the NPP.
“We need to work on every road which ought to be paved, whether its path to the farm or church, because this initiative was politically engineered to get votes.
He continued that the government of the day has provided logistics for the DRIP to be successful , hence the need for voters to extend appreciation for the gesture by voting for the elephant. Kwabena Senkyire made these declarations at the launching of Amansie Central’s DRIP gadgets recently.
“Bawumia is shouldering the cost of the project and he is providing iron rods, cement, chippings, twenty barrels , diesel because where your DRIP machines are is where your votes must go.
Brimming with thuggery and violence , Senkyire implored operators of the DRIP machines to adorn them with posters of the Parliamentary candidate and that of Bawumia, adding that anyone who attempts to deface the posters would be apprehended by the Jacobu police.
Kwabena Senkyire told the function that has come for the benefitted of the masses, saying : “We do not want a scenario where one will ask that they are ready to buy fuel for the machines to work on their roads. Bawumia has budgeted for that.
