Francis Asenso Boakye, the Member of Parliament for Bantema Constituency, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to his constituents following his re-election for a second term.
He marked the occasion by commissioning an ultra-modern party office in the constituency.
In his address at the inauguration ceremony, Asenso Boakye highlighted the historic nature of his victory in the 2024 elections. He noted that he is the first MP in Bantema’s history to win a competitive re-election.
He remarked, “No one has sought competitive re-election in Bantema and won before. The people didn’t just vote for me; they gave me close to 80% of the votes.”
Asenso Boakye also recalled how even when senior party figure Kennedy Agyapong campaigned against him, he managed to secure a decisive win.
He pledged the new party office as a token of appreciation to the people of Bantema for their support.
“You’ve done so much for me, so Bantema, my people, this is what I give you in return,” he said, unveiling the new facility.
