Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama has fully funded a life-saving heart surgery for two-year-old Elora Addai after learning of her condition through a public fundraising appeal.
Elora, who is receiving treatment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, had been diagnosed with a hole in the heart, a condition requiring urgent surgical intervention estimated at $15,000. Her family had earlier circulated a flyer seeking financial support from the public to cover the cost of the procedure.
Moved by the appeal, Mr. Mahama stepped in to cover the full cost of the surgery, relieving the family of the financial burden and ensuring the child receives timely medical care.

The family say the gesture has brought immense relief and renewed hope, as doctors prepare to carry out the procedure aimed at correcting the condition.
Mr. Mahama, known for his philanthropic interventions in health and education, has once again demonstrated his commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals in society.
The family has expressed profound gratitude for the support, describing it as a life-saving intervention that offers Elora a chance at a healthier future.
