National Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, is leading a high-level party delegation to the People’s Republic of China for official engagements with the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The visit, which forms part of efforts to deepen bilateral party relations and explore avenues for political and economic collaboration, will focus on four key areas: consolidation of local governance structures in Ghana, strengthening party-to-party ties, initiating youth political exchange programs, and exploring economic and investment opportunities.
The NDC delegation includes Comrade Vincent Kuagbenu, Director of Special Duties; Dr. Karl Mark Arhin, Deputy Director of International Relations; Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw, National Women’s Organizer; and Kwaku Asiedu-Nketiah, Vice Chairman of the party’s Youth Committee.
According to a statement signed by the party’s Director of Communications, Kakra Essamuah, the delegation is expected to return to Ghana on May 17, 2025.
In the interim, National Vice Chairman Comrade Awudu Sofo Azorka will serve as Acting National Chairman.
The visit underscores the NDC’s commitment to international cooperation and knowledge exchange, particularly in areas that enhance democratic governance and grassroots political development.
